Bristol-based art-rock trio Sunglasz Vendor have returned with their new single, ‘Prevent The Scum’. It’s a jumpy, skittish track that hops between a variety of genres in just over three minutes. Their trademark blend of jangle-pop and hardcore is in full force here, with a sunny chorus offsetting the occasional outburst of tense, doomy distortion that underpins an anxiety-ridden lyrical monologue. “It’s about hiding from a searing sense of romantic and sexual loneliness with humour and guitar solos,” the band say. The three-piece will be playing live around the UK in May and dropping their debut album, Unwinding, on April 25th, 2025. -Dan Peeke
